Japan in a collection

Hello there,

Guess what came in the mail today? Jenna Templeton's  "Japan in a collection" zine!
I was so delighted to see the usual beautifully decorated package along with washi tapes and polka dots. I carefully opened everything up and inside saw colors or orange and purple and peach. Everything made me smile. Even more so as I started reading and observing this precious work of art. I was so surprised to open up one of the pages to see a plethora of kawaii splendidness! Thank you so much, Jenna! I absolutely adore everything!

Hello there,

For the past few days, I've been flicking through the pages of google and ebay looking at the niftiest little gadget to date.
The gocco printer is a bit like screen-printing except it's a little different... First of all, there are these spiffy flash bulbs that burn the screen automatically and you can make 50 prints without re-inking. I automatically fell in love. Apparently, It's really teeny tiny- it can print post-card sized images, and it is also possible to print onto fabric! Oh it would be so wonderful to print my own textiles and sew little pencil pouches out of it... Please look at Save gocco if you too have fallen in love with this interesting little device!

Here are some things you can do with a gocco printer:

translucent rainbow dot stickers

Hello there,

I went to get some extra white out and graph paper last week for school, and I came across these adorable rainbow dot stickers- they're translucent too! I stick them onto everything now- I just wish I got the smaller ones too, so I could stick more on mini note cards. So far, I've been adding them to my planner, and making little tags with them too. They come in a pack of 29 sheets, so I have a feeling they're going to be lasting a long time.

Bits n bobs

hello there,

Last night, I was looking through all of my scrap paper that I keep saving and I decided that I wanted to put it to good use. I love making collages with scrap papers and I think when they're random it makes it even better. I sorted through all of them and put each kind of paper in its own little pile and then just added one of each kind of paper scrap into a cello bag. Now each bag is headed off to somewhere new- all of my crafty friends will be receiving one in the mail shortly!
I got this inspiration by perusing through etsy, as I saw that a lot of people were selling their scrap papers! It was such a cute idea, sending your own off to others is such a wonderful thing!
Some of these papers are from old dictionaries, or interesting wrapping paper bits that i've been accumulating over the years.

Happy day

I just love colors- they brighten up my day. I thought I could try out a layout that many people do on other blogs- it's very fun to set everything up!

I'm sending a package filled with MT tapes, a little handmade notebook, some cute labels, and a handmade letter set I made for Jaime with Washi tapes!

I hope everyone's week was well, and your week-end will be even better!

Mail day!

hello there

yesterday was a great mail day. I received a beautiful letter from Merissa filled with kawaii sticker flakes in a starry holographic sleeve, then stuffed into a cotton candy pink vellum pouch decorated with a cinnamaroll washi tape. She also put in a lovely self-made mini postcard that says my name on it and wrote a lovely note with impeccable penmanship. Everything about this letter was amazing- I cannot stop looking at it! I wish I received mail this beautiful everyday! My favorite part about the whole entire letter was Merissa's gorgeous calligraphy writing on the envelope.
Thank you Merissa!

Dottie Angel

As a request from the lovely Kelly, I will talk about the dottie angel book!
Oh, this book was a million times better than I had imagined in my mind- and I imagined it to be incredible. This book flew past incredible and a wonderful read. First off, it has a lot of content- 255 pages worth of it! It is also extremely colorful and uplifting, with of course a touch of the whimsical self that is, Dottie Angel. I just love the personal and hand-crafted feel to this book- all of the flowers and vintage fabrics make my heart skip a beat, every page is its own masterpiece.
Being a huge fan of UPPERCASE, and also a reader of Dottie Angel, I pre-ordered this book, waiting day by day for its arrival. Along with the book, I received a glassine envelope filled with crafty goodies. Out of everything, the hand-made doily was my favorite- I also very much loved the buttons, string, fabric, the postcard... Well, I loved everything!
This is definitely a must-have for all crafting fanatics (such as myself...) who search for that great book to read whilst drinking hot cocoa by the fire on a cold, gloomy day. I've been finding so much inspiration on every page, this will not leave my work table any time soon :)

miss Kuma and Dottie Angel

Hello there,

I received the Dottie Angel book in the mail today! Kuma, Biche and I were reading it together and I realized that Kuma is not that much bigger than the book itself! As you can see, she loves to have her picture taken, especially while standing on Tif's book!
I just can't stop taking pictures of this little cutie- sometimes I find myself staring at her while she's asleep! Oh, but she is too adorable not to, no?

I hope everyone's having a great week so far!  just hang in there- tomorrow is Friday!!

Hello there,

I am very happy to announce that we have a new member of the family as of today- the little baby kuma who is exactly three months old as of tomorrow. She is such a precious little darling... We had to call her Kuma, because she looks just like a little bear! Oh we love her so very much, she is such a sweet girl. Kuma is a pomeranian, she is chocolate brown and white, and extremely fluffy. Unfortunately, when we brought her home, Biche was a bit upset and of course had to express that emotion by immediately relieving himself on the couch... He isn't very happy with little Kuma, but i'm sure they will get along soon enough!

Floating Island

Hello there,

The other day I received a beautiful surprise in the mail, a zine from the lovely sewon in Shanghai! this was such a fun package to open- little surprises flittered out of the envelope and onto my desk. Sewon put in 2 lovely postcards, a cute sticker with a cat on it, and a spiffy note. Her zine- floating island is incredibly gorgeous and filled with inspiration. Every page is so detailed, I love every bit of it. The photos  bring peace and nature to Shanghai, when it is actually a very busy city. The moments were captured perfectly and so gracefully.
Oh, I especially liked the package- birds are my favorite :)

Thank you Sewon! I very much liked the paper stock you chose as well! Everything was so lovely!

My desk

Hello there,

I love re-organizing my space every once in a while. I get so many ideas from other bloggers who show their spaces, one of them is from bonjour Johanna- I love how she puts little pictures on her wall with polka dot stickers- it's such a cute idea! My room is filled with just crafts... My shelves are very messy- but I know where everything is at least! Oh, the shelves are from Ikea- I love how you can design it online- so very handy!

postage stamp collection

Hello there ,

Ever since I was little, I loved postage stamps. My maman even gave me her book of stamps from when she was still in grammar school. I just love looking at all of the intricate designs on each and every one of them. They make me smile. Whenever I send a letter, I hope the receiver keeps the package and saves the stamps. That's what I do when I receive a letter or package- I especially love the stamps from different countries, they are much more fascinating and beautiful than the ones in the US. Whenever I go to the post office, I ask for their new stamps and they literally only have 2 sets out. I guess that's alright, though. It just makes receiving mail that much better.
Here is my collection- I even have some from the 2008 beijing olympics!

xxxxx zine

Hello there,

Zine-making is always so much fun! I made a little cut and paste zine today for 4 of my best friends... I made 5 copies- but the fifth is for me- because I very much love it too :) Anywho, 3 of them are going to be travelling by mail and 1 is going to be given to my friend in person. I've really missed my friends from my old school and it's so difficult to re-adjust, so I think that sending this zine to them will make me feel a lot better. In here, there are little doodles and collage-like pages that speak of friendship and how much it means to me. Yes, four friends maybe isn't much, but they count a whole lot to me. The binding is sewn with black thread and the pages where photocopied on my printer. Nothing too fancy.

Enjoy :)
